Film Watch | July
Film Watch is back! We have yet another jam packed month of films for your (our?) viewing pleasure in July, with the releases of acclaimed documentaries, a comedy with an intriguing premise, and an eagerly awaited superhero reboot. Of course, the movie that will likely draw the biggest crowds is a certain conclusion to another superhero franchise (you may have heard of it, it’s about a guy who dresses up like a Bat). Excited yet? Read on for the six films I’m most looking forward to watching this month.

Film Watch | May
To the surprise of no one, Avengers Assemble is already proving to be a financial success even though it was only released last week, and along with Marley it was the strongest film of April. We are now firmly in ‘Summer movie’ territory and there is no shortage of blockbusters coming our way this month. From anticipated threequels to martial arts extravaganzas, have a gander at the latest edition of Film Watch.

Film Watch | April

Last month, The Hunger Games satiated everyone’s appetite with an excellent film that started the franchise off well. There’s another delightful smorgasbord of films coming out in April, not least of which a documentary on one of the most impactful musical figures of the 20th century, a film about a prison break with an interesting twist, and a superhero extravaganza everyone’s talking about.

Film Watch | March
We have another strong month of films ahead of us in March. The return of the Titans, a return to school, and the much awaited adaptation of a popular novel are just some of the films we can look forward to watching over the next 30 days. Without further ado, hit the jump for details on which 9 films are on my radar this month. Because I love nice round numbers.
Film Watch | February
Being the start of a new year and all, one phrase which I heard a lot of last month was ‘start as you mean to go on’. If that is to be an allegory for films in 2012 then it will be a very satisfying year as the standard of films in January was fantastic. This month, we have our first of four helpings of super-heroism, the return of beloved characters guaranteed to cause nostalgia for some, and much more.
